Their unique cloud-hosted controller architecture provides centralized management and security though an intuitive web interface, eliminating the high costs and complexity associated with traditional networking systems.

While we are not current users of Meraki’s services, we are avid fans of their Web based tools: the WiFi Stumbler, the WiFi Mapper as well as a range calculator and an indoor coverage calculator. Great tools when you work in an environment that is saturated with 2 Ghz services from WiFi to Wireless cameras.

However there are cases where it is necessary to conduct investigations: parents have the rights and responsibility to monitor their child’s computer usage and employers have the right to monitor activity on their networks and systems. You need a computer spy system.

This is why products are available as computer spy are available on the market. BrickHouseSecurity.com offers a number of products that give you the ability to monitor networks and machines that fall under your responsibility. This new product will gather passwords, pictures, websites and more even if the end user is not using the administrative account.

Being a computer spy is never to be taken lightly, but you are also responsible for the proper usage of your machines.

Over the years, we’ve collected a lot of quotes about the Internet. Remember, we’ve been on the ‘net since 1993 so we’ve seen and heard a lot. Below are our favourites …

When I took office, only high energy physicists had ever heard of what is called the Worldwide Web…. Now even my cat has its own page. – Bill Clinton, 1996

On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a dog. – Peter Steiner, The New Yorker, July 5th 1993

There are two things in particular that it [the computer industry] failed to foresee: one was the coming of the Internet (…); the other was the fact that the century would end. – Douglas Adams

Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person to use the Internet and they won’t bother you for weeks. – Anonymous

Doing research on the Web is like using a library assembled piecemeal by pack rats and vandalized nightly. – Roger Ebert

Looking at the proliferation of personal web pages on the net, it looks like very soon everyone on earth will have 15 Megabytes of fame – MG Siruam

Anyone who slaps a ‘this page is best viewed with Browser X’ label on a Web page appears to be yearning for the bad old days, before the Web, when you had very little chance of reading a document written on another computer, another word processor, or another network. – Tim Berners-Lee, July 1996

You can’t take something off the Internet – it’s like taking pee out of a pool. – Author Unknown, 1995

The Internet is just the world passing around notes in a classroom. – Jon Stewart

We’ve heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true. – Robert Wilensky, 1996

More quotes here – here as well – here and here.

In fact everybody here at WebsiteForensics has an iPod Touch, iTunes, thousands of mp3 files as well has hundreds of CDs. Some of us even had old tapes, LPs, EPs. One of us even owns a USB turntable – but what of music of yesteryear? We don’t just mean 78’s, we mean music from up to 120 years ago … We are talking about cylinder records from the 1870s to the 1920s. Cylinders made out of tinfoil, brown wax and plastic …

Well, this is where technology from today comes into play. From sound software to dedicated websites, these cylinder records have been saved from technological oblivion by a diverse and dedicated team!

To learn more about Phonograph Cylinders: Wikipedia

The cylinder Preservation and Digitization Project: An initiative of the UC Santa Barbara Library

The cylinder archive – a website devoted to one of the greatest inventions of the last century – Thomas Alva Edison’s Phonograph.

The Archive.org website’s is dedicated to cylinder records but all types of recordings. The library contains over two hundred thousand free digital recordings including cylinder records.

We sometimes spend hours, even days, programming Flash applications or writing php code. So when we crash, we need the best kind of sleep so we can maintain our brainpower.

That’s why we use white noise machines and sound machines for optimal sleeping or power napping. For those of you who’ve never heard of such devices, white noise machines produce a sound that is random in character like a rushing waterfall or wind blowing through tree leaves.

Now it seems that white noise machines aren’t just for sleeping, they also help productivity and create a privacy screen by masking ambient noise and conversations!
