One of the functions that Adobe Dreamweaver is seriously lacking is a batch file re-naming tool that also fixes broken links. We have had several projects where hundreds of files with .html or .htm extensions had to be converted to .php, .asp, .shtml. As always, we use a file re-naming tool to do the grunt work in the OS, and then use Dreamweaver to search and replace all link extensions. This is not foolproof, can be tedious and downright nasty if your files contain external links.

So here’s hoping the next version of Adobe Dreamweaver has a batch file re-naming tool!
